At WGTM we believe in thorough growth. That's why we've just allowed our guests to sign up for roles in our meetings !
In taking on roles, members and guests will notice the often unaddressed nuances of oration such as filler words, time limits , grammar and so on.
In noticing these more out of duty- they better understand the impact of these on speech and can thus improve their own oration. PLUS we really appreciate enthusiasm so you get brownie points as well.
We highly encourage you to participate in a role to see what its all about.

The Roles
Speeches
Prepared Speech (4 max) - A 5-7 minute speech prepared from the manuals (MEMBERS ONLY)
Table Topic Speakers (Depends on time ~10 max) - 1-2 minute impromptu speech, (prompt via TTM) (GUESTS & MEMBERS)
Bookends of The meeting: (Guest )
Joke Master - Our in-house comedian! Kicks off the evening with humor.
Quiz Master (Make sure everyone pays attention in meeting) - Create a quiz asking members about the speeches in the meeting
Guidance roles (MEMBERS ONLY)
Chair* - (must have fulfilled most roles prior)
Table Topic Master (TTM) - (must have done at least 5 Table Topics)
Officer Roles (Guests)
Ah-Counter (ah, um, er, count the filler words?) - Keep track of the filler words in speeches
Timer (I'm late! For a very important date! No time to say hello, goodbye! I'm late!) - Keep the meeting running on time
Grammarian (let your inner Grammar Nazi free) - Keep track of grammatical use the English Language
Evaluators: (MEMBERS ONLY)
Prepared Speech Evaluator - Evaluate a Prepared Speaker (3 min)
Table Topic Evaluator (TTE) - Evaluate all Table topic speakers (1 min per table topic speaker +/- 1 min)
General Evaluator* (GE) - Evaluate all who have not been evaluated yet
